My solar panels produce less since FlexiO
FlexiO does NOT affect solar production - only the battery/charger is controlled. Lower production = seasonal or inverter issue. Check your inverter app for details. Contact your installer if you suspect a defect.
My Wallbox charger no longer works with FlexiO – what now?
The Wallbox charger is currently no longer compatible with FlexiO. Due to a change in the Wallbox API we can no longer control the charger via FlexiO. We are working on a new solution, but cannot provide an exact date yet.
What happens if I install a new modem or router?
The replacement of your modem or router does not affect the operation of your FlexiObox, provided that all devices (FlexiObox, inverter, P1‑meter) remain connected via an Ethernet cable to the internet or directly to the FlexiObox. After the replacement, check in the MyFlexiO app that the FlexiObox is online and that the green light is on. If there is a problem, restart the FlexiObox by unplugging it for 10 seconds.
What is Elia and why does the payout take so long?
Elia is the Belgian high-voltage grid operator that organizes the rPOWR market. Payout cycle: data verification + settlement + processing = ~3 months. LIFEPOWR pays as soon as the Elia settlement is received.
What is Frank Energie and does it work with FlexiO?
Frank Energy is an energy supplier with dynamic rates, and FlexiO fully supports it, both hourly and quarter‑hour pricing. Select “Frank” as the supplier in the MyFlexiO app under Settings > FlexiObox > Rate Settings.
What is rPOWR (FCR) and how does it work?
rPOWR or FCR = Frequency Containment Reserve or. The battery automatically responds to grid frequency (50Hz). When frequency drops: discharge. When frequency rises: charge. Compensation per available MW. FlexiO manages this fully automatically.
What is 'stand-by' status in grid balancing?
Stand-by = registered for grid balancing but currently not actively deployed. FlexiO chooses: sometimes savings (arbitrage) are more valuable than FCR compensation. The system automatically switches between modes.
What is the difference between Engie Empower Flextime and the ePOWR tariff?
Engie's Empower Flextime is NOT a dynamic tariff - it's a hybrid contract with fixed time zones instead of changing hourly prices. This tariff is NOT supported by FlexiO. The ePOWR tariff (LIFEPOWR by Trevion) IS a true dynamic tariff with additional benefits: participation in ePOWR AND free FlexiO control (1 year included with every FlexiObox, partners may offer additional free time). With a dynamic tariff + FlexiO you get the best value.
What is the difference between FlexiO and other EMS systems?
FlexiO: focus on financial optimisation. Other EMS often focus only on self-consumption. FlexiO combines local savings on your energy bill + extra income from grid balancing services, making the best financial choice for you, without any hassle or losing your comfort.
What is the difference between rPOWR and ePOWR?
You can use rPOWR to deploy your battery to stabilize the electricity grid and get paid for keeping capacity available, paid via LIFEPOWR with a three‑month delay. With ePOWR you actively trade on the energy market; this requires an ePOWR tariff and the earnings are directly settled on your energy bill. Combine both options through an ePOWR tariff for maximum yield.
