Why am I already being charged a subscription when I am not yet participating in Netbalancing?
The FlexiO subscription is not only related to participation in net balancing. It includes our full control and services. Even without participation in net balancing, FlexiO optimizes your energy flows.
Why am I not active on Max with a dynamic ePOWR (FlexiO) rate?
On a variable FlexiO tariff there is more room to properly manage the imbalance incentives. End users also do not optimize these incentives themselves, which can hinder our control. In this way FlexiO can achieve a greater benefit for you as an end customer.

You can stay on your current dynamic ePOWR tariff until your contract ends. After that you must switch energy tariff:

- Want to stay dynamic? Choose any dynamic tariff. You start on FlexiO Go.
- Want to avoid subscription fees? Then switch to one of our FlexiO tariffs.

We have deliberately chosen a variable FlexiO tariff. You still get the same benefits of a dynamic tariff, but with the price guarantee of a variable one.
Why am I not receiving any P1 data?
We read P1 data via the P1 port at the bottom left of your digital meter. Normally a P1 cable runs directly from this port to the FlexiObox. In exceptional cases this is done wirelessly with a HomeWizard P1 dongle.

Without this data FlexiO cannot control your installation correctly (which is needed for proper self‑consumption optimization, battery behavior and the participation in gridbalancing services).

What can you check yourself?
1. Check the cable: Make sure a P1 cable (or HomeWizard dongle) is attached to your digital meter and is properly connected.
2. Open the port: If a cable is present, verify through the Fluvius portal that the P1 port is activated.
3. Configure the dongle: If you use the HomeWizard dongle, check with our manual that it is set up correctly.

If you are unsure, please send us the following via our helpdesk:
- A photo of the current connection on the P1 port of your digital meter.
- A photo of the connections on your FlexiObox.

Once this is resolved, we can monitor and optimize your installation again.
Why does my EV charger charge slower than expected in Solar Mode?
Your EV charger charges slower because Solar Mode only uses the excess production of your solar panels; with little sun or high home consumption the charging speed slows down, or stops completely if there is insufficient surplus. You can speed this up by switching to Peak, Smart or Eco mode.
Why doesn't my EV charge at full speed in Piek-modus?
The Peak mode is only available for FlexiO Go users. In Peak mode FlexiO ensures that charging your car never increases your monthly peak. FlexiO looks at three things: your current monthly peak, what your house is consuming at that moment, and how much solar energy is available. Based on that it determines how much power your car may use. If your monthly peak is still low and there is little solar energy, there is little capacity to charge. Your car will then charge very slowly, or the charging session may not start at all. If you want your car to always charge, switch to Smart charging mode. More information about all charging modes can be found in our knowledge base.
Why does the MyPOWR price change every month?
Your MyPOWR price changes each month because it depends on how much energy you generate with your PV system, how much you consume, and the earnings that LIFEPOWR generates through ePOWR and rPOWR. In winter, your price is often higher because you produce less yourself, while in summer you generate a lot of free energy, which lowers the price. Thanks to the smart control, your MyPOWR price always stays well below the market price, which also fluctuates with the seasons.
Why does the “usage” in the MyFlexiO app not match the usage on my energy bill?
The usage shown in the MyFlexiO app differs from your energy bill because the app measures the total energy consumption in your home, including the electricity you generate yourself with solar panels and a battery. Your bill only shows the amount of energy you have drawn from and fed back to the grid, as your energy supplier only has the meter readings from your electricity meter.
Why do I earn less from net balancing than someone else?
The income from net balancing does not depend solely on the number of solar panels or the size of your battery. While those factors play a role, they are not the only things that matter.

What matters is how much flexibility your system can provide at any given moment: how full or empty your battery is, your current and estimated future consumption, and whether your system is available when the grid needs assistance.

Two households with identical solar panels can have very different consumption profiles at the same time. If your battery is already full, or if you are consuming a lot at that moment, FlexiO has less room to step in, and you earn less than someone whose system has more flexibility at that time.

The type of net balancing also matters. With rPOWR we reserve capacity in advance through bids, while with ePOWR we look at live imbalances on our electricity grid.

If you want more insight into how net balancing works, see our documentation on net balancing in our knowledge base.
Why do I have a negative ‘MyPOWR Price’?
Your MyPOWR price is negative because you have a negative energy bill/cost for this period. Receiving money back instead of paying for energy also results in a negative MyPOWR price.
Why don’t I see my savings on my electricity bill?
Your savings and your earnings are two different things, which explains the difference.

We calculate your savings separately from your energy supplier. Savings occur “behind” your digital meter and are therefore invisible to the supplier. That’s why the savings do not appear as a line on your electricity bill.

Your earnings from balancing services are a amount that is actually calculated by FlexiO and the energy supplier.

In the MyFlexiO app you can see a clear overview of your savings and income, and we also show you what your installation would have saved without smart control.
