Are cascade inverters (multiple inverters) compatible with FlexiO?
Cascade inverters (multiple inverters in series) are currently not supported by FlexiO; they are on our roadmap. Once this functionality becomes available, you can consult the current compatibility list for further information.
Can FlexiO control my Tesla charger?
The standard Tesla charger cannot be controlled by FlexiO.

What FlexiO does do:
• The charger is recognised as a large consumer
• FlexiO takes this into account to not drain the battery
• The monthly peak is protected

For full charger control, you need a compatible charger. See the list at: lifepowr.io/chargers
Can FlexiO send a signal to start other appliances (e.g., a washing machine)?
No, FlexiO currently does not control external appliances like washing machines, not even via smart grid ready systems. This doesn't fit with FlexiO's core focus: hassle-free automatic optimisation of battery and charging station. FlexiO balances between capacity tariff, self-consumption, dynamic prices and grid balancing - without you having to intervene.
Can I adjust my monthly peak setting myself?
You cannot adjust the monthly peak setting yourself in the app. Contact your installer if you want to change the default value of 2500 W, or provide it to us by replying to this ticket, and we will gladly make the adjustment for you.
Can I export FlexiO data to PowerBI or an external dashboard?
Yes, via the local FlexiO API at http://myio.local/api/docs/ you can request data for integration with external tools like PowerBI. LIFEPOWR provides this as a free service. We do not provide additional support for it.
Can I have multiple FlexiOboxes on one account?
Yes, you can use it for multiple locations. Each location gets its own FlexiObox and EAN. In the app, you can easily switch between locations in the settings (header) when your email address is linked to multiple FlexiOboxes, just make sure you use the same email address for each one.
Can I lower the capacity tariff without a battery (charger only)?
You can use FlexiO to control your charging station for peak shaving, even without a battery, although the options are limited. Consider installing a battery for optimal peak shaving.
Can I monitor my consumption and set alarms with FlexiO?
FlexiO is a Smart Energy Management System (EMS+) and does not provide the ability to monitor your consumption with alarms for abnormal usage. You can view real‑time consumption in the MyFlexiO app, see the history of consumption, production and battery, and benefit from automatic optimization of the battery and charging station.
Can I read inverter data via Modbus if FlexiO is already using it?
FlexiO uses Modbus communication with your inverter. While parallel Modbus sharing (TCP or RTU) is technically possible—for example with Home Assistant or other monitoring software—this is not recommended. Using the same virtual port on the inverter will overload the communication port and corrupt the data stream to FlexiO, making it impossible to steer correctly.

For data integration, we recommend using the local FlexiO API at myio.local/api/docs/ instead. Reading data via this API does not negatively affect steering and shows the most important parameters without conflicts.
Can I self-host FlexiO on my own Linux server?
No, FlexiO is specifically designed to run on the Raspberry Pi 4 in the FlexiObox. Other systems are not supported.

However, a local API is available for integrations:
• Browse to myio.local/api/docs/ (on the same network)
• Available endpoints: /api/ems/measurements for current measurements
• /api/ems/generic-load for advanced integrations

The API documentation is available on the FlexiObox itself.
