Product Owner

Will you help us achieve this goal as Product Owner whose mission is to translate complex challenges into clear functionalities and user experiences, so that our product team can purposefully build solutions that deliver real value.

Your challenge

As Product Owner, you are the lynchpin between business, technology and design. You collect and structure functional requirements, provide clear scope and feature planning, and ensure that the end user is always the focus. You take responsibility for the UX side of our products and ensure that our product designer can focus on visual designs and prototypes to the max.

Additional context: this is not a classic PO role, but a hybrid position where you also do strong functional analysis work and take ownership of the UX structure.

An idea of what to expect:

• Taking ownership of the product backlog and ensuring priorities are always clear
• Retrieve, analyze, structure and document functional requirements
• Create Jobs-to-be-Done, user journeys and storymaps to guide design & development
• Work closely with the product designer: you provide structure and logic, he focuses on the visual interpretation
• Interact with stakeholders and ensure that their needs and feedback are correctly translated into solutions
• Prepare scoping of features and projects so that schedule remains realistic and achievable
• Increase the quality of our UX and ensure that our products are intuitive and easy to use
• Conduct UX driven research to understand our different types of users and provide relevant solutions to their challenges
• Thinking and building on the further professionalization of our product organization

What we expect from you

Soft skills

• You have a strong sense of ownership and responsibility
• You can work independently and coordinate with the Product Lead as needed
• You communicate fluently and clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues
• You are results-oriented and goal-driven: you really want to get things done
• You are precise and can bring structure to complexity
• You have a passion for innovation, sustainability and want to create positive change in the energy sector

Technical skills

• Experience as a Product Owner or Functional Analyst (at least medior level)
• Experience with requirements gathering & functional documentation
• Experience with UX methodologies (Design sprints, Jobs to be Done, user journeys, storymaps, wireframes)
• Basic knowledge of tools such as Jira, Notion, Figma or similar
• Experience in agile/scrum environments
• A plus: experience in the energy sector, SaaS, or with complex technical products

Location and language

• You can perform this role completely remotely; coming to our Antwerp office occasionally is a plus
• You are fluent in English (Dutch is a strong plus, but not an absolute must)
