We are LIFEPOWR! A young and dynamic company, active in the energy transition and scaling up! We develop smart technologies to support the global transition to renewable energy. Our forward-thinking algorithms deliver significant value for households, businesses and society as a whole.

System Integration / API Engineer (EV focus)

Will you help us achieve this goal as a System Integration / API Engineer whose mission is to integrate electric charging stations and other smart energy devices with the LIFEPOWR platform so that hardware and software work together seamlessly.

An idea of what to expect:

• Integrate EV chargers, inverters and other smart energy devices into our platform
• Develop robust and reliable links between hardware and software
• Analyze and resolve integration issues during installations and testing
• Collaborate with backend engineers and on our Product team to improve APIs and device flows
• Setting up test setups with physical devices and performing validations
• Document integrations, protocols and test results in a structured manner
• Contribute to the selection and evaluation of new hardware platforms
• Collaborate on standards, best practices and long-term device strategy

Technical skills

• Strong programming skills (JavaScript/NodeJS and/or Python)
• Experience with integration of hardware components and sensors
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as REST and Modbus
• Experience with single-board computers (e.g., Raspberry Pi) and microcontrollers
• Basic understanding of energy concepts (power, conversion, storage, EV charging)
• Skill in setting up test setups with physical devices
• Nice-to-have: experience with EV chargers or energy-related hardware platforms

Location and language

• This can be a fully remote or a hybrid position, whichever you prefer (Office location in Antwerp, Belgium). You are fluent in English and preferably in Dutch.
