We are a growing company based in Antwerp; focused on enhancing the energy transition through residential energy storage systems. LIFEPOWR develops the complete energy storage system to simplify the complete solution, bridging the gap between hardware (batteries – inverters – converters) and software (smart control through local and remote energy management). This will allow end-users to store their solar-produced energy to increase self-consumption and reduce their energy bill.
We are currently looking for an experienced Industrial designer with a proven track record in developing complex components in an industrial environment. You will be responsible for various design tasks regarding our new products, both technical & visual, aiming for the perfect blend between performance, human interaction, mass-production efficiency and aesthetics. You will do this in close collaboration with our product development team, consisting of a product developer and Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineer.
You’ve enjoyed a technical education in Industrial design or related product engineering and design studies. You have at least 3-5 years working experience in this field.
You’re able to holistically approach design, unifying it across varying levels like workflow, experience, interaction and visual to provide a seamless product.
You’re naturally interested and aware of trends and developments in the technological field. You’re interested in energy products and are driven and determined to learn and improve your skillset and knowledge.
You are highly motivated, and you have a high inner drive to provide the best solution.
You can work independently, and you are not afraid to make impactful decisions.
You are a fluent communicator, and you can explain your work adequately to people with and without inside knowledge.
You enjoy taking risks, and you can motivate yourself in the absence of supervision.

You have experience with bringing products to market, passing CE regulations and obtaining product quality labels such as TUV.
Advanced CAD modeling skills preferably SolidWorks including add-ons such as electrical, circuit works routing,
Basic knowledge of production techniques including die casting- investment molding, injection molding
Experience with FMEA (failure mode and effect analysis) with complex products.
Previous work experience with battery systems
Understanding of software-hardware integration and ability to think on complete system level
Basic knowledge of high-power PCB design including design of analog circuits and software such as eagle cad or other for PCBA development.
Experience with rapid prototyping
FEA analysis for static stress analysis
FEA flow simulation for conjugated thermal analysis
